An introduction to the problems of scarcity and resource allocation as it pertains to households and firms. The course centers on production and cost analysis in the four major types of industry models. Topics include supply and demand, elasticity, consumer choice, government in the microeconomy, and price determination under various market conditions.
Submission Due Date: 24 Apr 2024
1) Research Project topic of your choosing (related to Economics or Business).
2) A research paper proposal (one page) consisting of either an outline or abstract for proposed paper along with two initial primary sources (references) is due 3 Apr 2024. This proposal is 10% of paper/project grade.
3) Research project is expected to be 1000 to 1500 words on typewritten double-spaced pages with standard margins. Arial 12-point or Times New Roman 12-point font is suggested.
4) At least three primary reference sources are expected to be cited in completed Research Project.
5) APA format for references and citations is preferred (MLA is acceptable).
6) Project/Paper due date is referenced above and on course syllabus. Any changes will be given during class time and posted to course Blackboard.
I would suggest you be working on this course requirement sooner rather than later. Writing is a difficult undertaking and re-writing is an arduous but important part of the writing process. Picking a topic that interests you makes this task much easier.
