This guide will assist with citations and format for Chicago/Turabian

Bibliography

When creating a new Bibliography, make sure to follow these basics:

  • The title should be written as Bibliography
    • The title should be centered and in bold
  • Your Bibliography page should start on a new page.
    • While you can press ENTER until it is a new page. Instead, head over to INSERT and select PAGE BREAK.
  • Chicago no longer requires Accessed in citations. Only post the URL/DOI at the end.
    • The only exception is if it is a website that is constantly updating its information.
  • If there are multiple authors, do not use et al. All authors must be listed.
    • Only use et al. in in-text citations.
  • If there are multiple works by the same author(s), use a large Em dash ——— instead of repeating the author's name.
  • All citations need to have an hanging indent that is 1/2 inch (see video below)
  • When listing citations, single space each entry with a space in-between.
