Agricultural data for the United States is easily available through the following two agencies of the USDA:
Data about agriculture and food policy (e.g.productivity rates, food prices, rural life quality, food availability and consumption, etc.)
Data about agricultural production (e.g. number of acres for certain crops, cost of renting or buying farmland, amount of pesticides and fertilizers usd by farmers, crop prices, Census of Agriculture, etc.)
FAO's statistical activities cover the areas of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, land and water resources and use, climate, environment, population, gender, nutrition, poverty, rural development, education and health as well as many others.
FAOSTAT, the Statistics Division of this Organization, provides user-friendly access to separate databases with information on specific aspects of food and agriculture. It covers the production and trade of crops, livestock, and wood products, and much more.
It's Food Aid Information System (www.wfp.org/fais/) reports data from 1988 to present onn the types and quantities of international food aid provided to various countries, the donors, and the nutritional value of that aid.
