Naugatuck Valley Library Policies

Community Borrowers/Lost Item Policy

Connecticut residents are welcome to use the Library to borrow materials, utilize library computers, and seek assistance from library staff.

As with NVCC borrowers, returning library items in a timely fashion is the expectation. If a community borrower has long overdue items, the NVCC Library reserves the right to refuse renewal of the community borrower’s guest account for computer use until the overdue issue has been resolved.

Please contact Jaime Hammond, Director of Library Services, if you have any questions about this policy or its implementation at jhammond@nv.edu or (203) 575-8199.

Community Access to Computers and Printing

Community computer accounts are issued on a rolling basis. All accounts expire at the end of the current semester. Community members can request a new account each semester.

Community accounts are allotted 100 pages of printing per semester and borrowers must abide by the BOR acceptable use policy.

Community accounts can be obtained at the library reference desk, or through the Information Technology Department.
