If you are a Housatonic student and you need to borrow a laptop or an internet hotspot to use for your schoolwork, the Housatonic Library would love to help! Laptop and hotspot request forms open on the first day of registration for each semester.
Once the semester starts, you will have 1 week to come to the Housatonic Library and pick up the laptop or hotspot that has been assigned to you. If you do not come pick up within that week, the technology will be moved to the next person on the waitlist.

I already have a laptop or hotspot for the Spring 2025 semester, can I just keep it for the Summer or Fall semester?
No, laptop and hotspot loans are processed separately for each semester. If you need a laptop or hotspot for an additional semester, please return the one you currently have by the due date and fill out the appropriate form by clicking one of the links above.
I am registered for classes in different Summer sessions, do I need to fill out a form for each session?
No, you may fill out the laptop or hotspot request for the May start date (Sessions 12A, 10A, 7A, and 5A), and keep the laptop or hotspot until all of your Summer 2025 classes have ended.
I have my laptop or hotspot, but left the bag or case at home, can I return the tech and bring the case another day?
No, please return laptops with all included bags, cases, and chargers in order to avoid being charged the replacement costs in your contract.
