This book was selected for the Adult Fiction book title 2025 by the All CT Reads committee. Amanda Peters is a Canadian writer of Mi'kmaq and settler descent, who lives in Nova Scotia. Her novel won multiple awards, including an Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence, presented by the American Library Association.
