  • October 20 - November 2, 2025 - Early Voting Period (you may register in person every day of Early Voting at your early voting location)
  • November 3, 2025 - Deadline to issue Absentee Ballots
  • November 4, 2025 - Election Day (polls open 6 am - 8 pm)

Each town will have at least one Early Voting location, allowing voters to cast their vote from 10am to 6pm on any day between Monday, October 20th and Sunday, November 2nd.

Early Voting is available to every eligible voter, without a specific reason needed. Early Voting may be done only in-person, not via mail or drop box.

Ballots cast during Early Voting will be sealed and stored securely in each town. They will be opened and counted on Election Day.

Connecticut has strict laws regarding who can vote absentee.

  • Are you an active member of the armed forces of the United States?
  • Will you be out of town on Election Day?
  • Does sickness prevent you from voting in person on Election Day?
  • Do your religious beliefs prevent you from performing secular activities like voting on Election Day?
  • Will you be performing duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own on Election Day?
  • Does a physical disability prevent you from voting in person on election day?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are eligible to vote absentee.

Notes: You must be registered to vote to receive an Absentee Ballot.  If you’re a voter with a valid Connecticut Driver's License , you must use the license number to apply with the online form.

If you do not have a DMV ID, you will need to download a paper application and mail it to your Town Clerk. Locate your Town Clerk here.
