The Palace Project App for CSCU Libraries

In order to borrow from the Palace Project app, you’ll need to create a Virtual Library Card (VLC). CSCU library patrons must use their college or university email addresses when setting up their Virtual Library Card. Note: you can browse the library collection without a VLC, but will need to set up a barcode in order to borrow items.

From the main catalog screen either select an item to borrow OR got to Settings > Libraries >  and select your library from the list:

Scroll to the bottom of the screen where it says Don't Have a Library Card? and select Create Card:

You will be asked to share your location to set up your library card. This is only necessary for setting up the VLC, and you can turn your location services off after the barcode has been created. If you accidentally deny location services, you will be prompted to open and update your settings to proceed with setting up your virtual barcode.

The note reads, "The Palace App requires a one-time location check in order to verify your library service area. You have disabled location services for this app. To enable, please select the 'Open Settings' button below then continue with card creation."

Fill out the virtual form under Sign up for a library card. Please remember to use your college or university email address when doing so. Create and confirm your password, complete the CAPTCHA and select Submit.

Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from no-reply@lyrasistechnology.org with your barcode information. Here you will also be provided a link to your backend personal space where you can access account information and update your password. Didn’t receive an email? Be sure to check your spam folder!
