Study Rooms

The Tunxis Library has several rooms with various setups to meet the specific needs of Tunxis students:

There are three Collaboration Stations: two on the first floor (7-102 and 7-103) and one on the second floor (7-203). These rooms are equipped with a computer and monitor. Groups of 2 to 6 students have priority for these rooms.

Study room 7-219, located on the second floor of the library, is also equipped with a computer and monitor. This study room is for groups of 4 to 8 students.

The A&P/ Microbiology Room is not intended for independent studying. Even though only one student can reserve the room for two hours, several students can use the room at the same time. No student should prohibit another student from the study room unless it is at maximum capacity. The room is equipped with microscopes & slides, and most models which are similar to those used during the laboratory session. Students must have a Tunxis student I.D. and currently be enrolled in BIO*211, BIO*212 and/or BIO*235 to make a reservation. CT State students enrolled in Allied Health programs may also make a reservation.

We also offer several first-come, first-served study rooms available to individuals and groups. Please see the circulation staff for a key.

Use of a room and its equipment is limited to course assignments and research for academic purposes. The technology has already been configured for your study group’s convenient shared viewing.

  • Please do not disconnect the existing equipment.
  • Please do not add your own devices or cables.
  • Those found tampering with the equipment (as well as recreational users) will be asked to leave and may face loss of computing privileges on the campus.

The following rooms are available for two hours per day per student, and must be reserved in advance via the links below. Groups of 2 to 6 students have priority.
