The Library has 6 study rooms for student use.
- Each study room has a large TV connected to a PC, mouse, video camera, speaker, and keyboard. There are also cables that allow you to connect to a laptop.
- Study rooms are for groups of two or more only.
- Study rooms have a two hour limit. If the time runs out and your group is still studying, you may stay in the room, but if another group comes in to use the room, we will ask you to leave.
- Study rooms are locked when not in use. You may check out a key to a Study Room by presenting a Student ID or other photo ID at the Circulation Desk.
- White board markers and erasers are available at the Circulation Desk.
- Study Rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis and are not renewable.
To find out if a Study Room is available, you may ask at the Circulation Desk or are you can look up availability in Housatonic Search by searching for Study Room Key and clicking the Study Room Key record (usually the first that comes up) as seen here:
In the Get It section of the record, you can see which rooms are available. In this example, Study Rooms A, B, C, D, G, and H are available and Study Room F is not available (shown as "0 available").
