Technology in the Library

Laptops

  • Laptops may be requested starting two weeks prior to the first day of a given semester. See Library staff for more information.

Computers

  • The Library has computers (PCs) available for student, faculty, and staff use. Computers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Some computers with webcams are available for faculty and staff use.

Internet/Wi-fi  

  • Library patrons may log into the internet from their personal devices.
  • To access the Wi-Fi, select ConnSCU as the network. Enter your user name (BannerID@student.commnet.edu) and password (same password you use for email, Blackboard, etc.).

Printing and Copying

  • An allowance of 400 pages per month is built into each student's account each month; the 400 pages include both printing and copying.
  • Students may add additional pages by visiting the Cashier on the second floor.
  • Wireless printing is not available at this time.
  • Color printing is not available.

Scanner

  • The Library has a Scannx Book Scanner 7145 for student, faculty, and staff use.

How do I access my student email?
I forgot my password. Can I reset it?

       If you have a smart phone, use these directions to reset your password.
       If you are using a PC or laptop, use these directions to reset your password.
       Staff in room 1031 can reset passwords as well.
What's my NetID (Banner ID) and school email address?

Are there other computers available to students?
       Yes, there are computer classrooms on the 6th floor.
