Collection Development:

The library endeavors to provide students, faculty, and staff with collections that are current, desirable, and aligned with the academic objectives of the college. Librarians select and acquire material that focuses on academic needs first, then on materials and resources to enhance user literacy. Suggestions for purchase can be submitted to the Director of Library Services by phone: 860-906-5025; by e-mail: DLewis@ccc.commnet.edu or by submitting this form. Additionally, librarians weed (deselect), and withdraw any materials that are no longer of use, appropriate, or germane to the library collection, as well as materials that are rarely used. The library will only accept donations of materials that are current, in demand, and aligned with the academic objectives of the college. The Director of Library Services will make the final decision regarding the acceptance of gift materials. Please call 860-906-5025 or e-mail DLewis@ccc.commnet.edu with inquiries about the donation process.

Please ask Library staff if you have questions.
