Finding Wi-Fi

  • On campus: to access the Wi-Fi, select ConnSCU as the network. Enter your user name (BannerID@student.commnet.edu) and password (same password you use for email, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Public libraries offer free Wi-Fi. You will need a current library card, or ask for a guest pass. They also have PCs available for patron use.
  • Some public libraries have Hotspots available to check out, usually for 7 days or less. Ask at your local library.
  • Information about low-cost internet access can be found on the state's COVID-19 Response website
  • In July 2020, the city of Hartford announced a plan to bring free Wi-Fi to all city residents. Find current Hotspots in Hartford with this website
  • Optimum also offers a way to search for their Hotspots
  • Learn about the Affordable Connectivity Program.
