I don't want to scare anyone off with a review, because it is a weird book! It is about the quest for a fisherman to find his true love who has already died so he goes to an island of death, where he meets bizarre demigods/birds! It is funny, but if you look past the "birds" you may see it is really about many other things. After reading I thought it could be historical or political, yet a friend of mine thought it was philosophical. Great read once you get into it.

I find this book so different from the movie. The book was more powerful and interesting. It gets you into it to make you want to read more and more. I find this can happens to many teenagers falling in love with a body type instead of actual emotions. I love this book
