Manchester Technology and Equipment Loans

This guide contains information about borrowing media equipment from the Manchester Campus Library.

Borrow the Internet from Your Library!

The Damato Library is pleased to offer hotspot loans to current MCC students, faculty and staff. Hotspots provide Internet access to smartphones, tablets, computers, and other wireless enabled devices through the Sprint/T-mobile cellular data network. Up to 10 devices can connect to the hotspot at one time and there are no data plan fees or data limits. Service is dependent on the availability of the T-Mobile network in the location where the hotspot is being used.

Guidelines for Borrowing

  • Hotspots are loaned for the entire semester. Proof of enrollment is required and requests must be submitted using this form. You will be contacted by the Library staff if your request is approved or you are added to a waiting list.
  • Mobile hotspots can be borrowed by current MCC students, faculty and staff, ages 18 and up in good standing (i.e. no outstanding overdue material or fines).
  • Students must present proof of enrollment at MCC (e.g., class schedule)
  • Students must show a valid driver's license, learner's permit, state non-driver photo ID, or Hartford City ID. The library staff will make a photocopy of it that will be shredded once the hotspot is returned.
  • Hotspots must be returned to the library’s Circulation Desk, not dropped outside of the library or in the library’s book drop.
  • If the hotspot is not returned within five (5) days of the posted due date, service will be terminated and the device will no longer be usable. A $100 replacement fee will be levied.
