In recognition of the work Connecticut State Community College does to provide educational opportunities for all, Governor Ned Lamont has declared April 2025 to be Community College Month in the State of Connecticut.

• Largest college in the state of Connecticut, serving 65,000 students.
• 6th largest community college in the United States.
• 65% are First-Generation students.
• The average student age is 27.
• 57% of students work while going to school.

• As many as 90% of CT community college students stay in the region initially after they leave college and contribute to the local economy.
• After leaving college, the average CT community college student will spend 33 years in the workforce.
• The student who leaves with a two-year college degree will earn nearly $400,000 more than someone with a high school diploma or GED.
