Students can print out a certificate and email it to the teaching faculty after they complete a learning module.
- Middlesex Campus Library Tips and TricksThis interactive learning module is an introduction to the many resources and services we offer to Middlesex Students. It covers the topics: your Middlesex library account, searching for library items, requesting a book from CSCU library consortium, renewing Middlesex items, library databases, and library research support.
- Research ProcessThis guide contains four interactive learning modules that cover choosing and narrowing a topic, finding information, evaluating information, and using information ethically.
- Choosing and Narrowing a TopicThis interactive learning module teaches students the following skills: identify amount and type of information needed, explore general sources to increase topic familiarity, identify key concepts and terms, put together keywords in a search strategy, and narrow and/or broaden search as needed.
- Finding InformationThis interactive learning module teaches students how to recognize different types of information sources, how to identify the parts of a scholarly journal article, and how to use library databases to search for peer-reviewed journal articles.
- Evaluating InformationThis interactive learning module teaches students how to evaluate information in a context.
- Using Information EthicallyThis interactive learning module teaches students skills of avoiding plagiarism, citing sources appropriately, understanding copyright and fair use, and using Generative Artificial Intelligence tools ethically.
