Naugatuck Valley Guide to Creating Accessible Materials

A guide to creating accessible documents and other materials.

Creating Accessible Materials

This guide will provide resources for creating accessible content in print and digitally, inspired by Universal Design principles.

Universal Design

Universal Design means design that allows everyone to access information regardless of ability. Universal design helps everyone, and tools designed for accessibility (voice-to-text, dark mode, etc.) make everyone's lives easier.

This guide will provide basic guidelines for creating readable, accessible materials. There are many wonderful sources out there, including the few cited in this guide.

In addition, this guide has been written using the principles described. See how easy it is to read?
