CT State Middlesex recognized graduating students for high achievement in each academic degree program.
“Earning top marks is no easy task, with jobs, family and other commitments. Yet, you are not only surviving but thriving,” said Kimberly Hogan, Middlesex campus CEO, in her greetings.
Steven Krevisky, retiring mathematics professor, welcomed the students and their guests. Program coordinators and professors announced the award recipients for each academic discipline and shared personal stories highlighting their accomplishments.
Peyton Devine, who received the Academic Excellence Award in Computer Information Systems Programming, offered advice to classmates during the presentation, as shared by Lin Lin, Ph.D.: “Find that one thing that gives you purpose.”
Rebecca Velliky earned Academic Excellence Award in Health Information Technology. Rebecca, who carried a 16-credit course load, has a military background and came from Texas.
The awards ceremony concluded with congratulations from Donna Bontatibus. Ph.D., Dean of Students and Faculty.
