Your professors have asked you to create an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography consists of two (2) parts:
1. the bibliography: a list of citations for the sources you found. For this assignment, follow the MLA style. Many of the library databases provide the citation for you, you can refer to the 'MLA' page in this guide, or use an online citation generator.
and
2. the annotation: for each of the sources you found, you will write a brief, descriptive, and evaluative paragraph.

It is different than an abstract as it is more than just a description or summary; there is some critical analysis involved. An annotation is usually about 1/2 page to a page in length.
