The CT State-Norwalk Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA CVTEA) as a program for educating veterinary technicians. According to the CT State Veterinary Technology program webpage, "Successful degree completion prepares students for immediate employment in veterinary practices, biomedical research, zoo/wildlife medicine, industry, military, livestock health management, and pharmaceutical sales. Through classroom, laboratory, and field experience students are prepared for entry-level positions in the veterinary/animal fields, with a special focus on companion animal medicine and practice. Graduates are able to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). VTNE preparation and job placement assistance are provided."
The Veterinary Technology Research Guide provides a collection of resources designed to support your academic work in veterinary technology so you can quickly access the resources you need. This guide contains information on how to find books, articles, reference sources, and more in the field of veterinary technology, and many are available through the Norwalk Campus Library's print and online resources. This guide is intended to help you find the most important and useful resources for veterinary technology research. Each section will bring you closer to a resource selected by a librarian specifically for this subject. If you have any questions, use the chat box in the bottom right corner to connect with a librarian or schedule a one-on-one research appointment (virtual or in-person) for more in-depth research help.
