The library provides study rooms that are available for students who wish to work collaboratively on assignments, projects, and/or study together:
- Study rooms can be reserved online via the library’s homepage or in person at the service desk. Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis and can be used for up to two hours per person per day. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.
- Study rooms are to be used by CT State students.
- Reservations will be held for fifteen minutes after the beginning of the reserved time. If the user has not checked out the room's key pass by that time, the room is considered open and available.
- Prior to entering a study room the student who booked the room must check out a barcoded key pass at the service desk.
- Once a reservation is complete the study room door must be locked and the key pass returned. If the pass is not returned, a hold/fine will be placed on the group member’s account.
- As a courtesy to other library patrons, group study room users must maintain a low noise level. Groups that are excessively noisy and disturb others may be asked to vacate group study rooms.
- Users must to leave the room in a clean condition.
- Personal items should not be left unattended in group study rooms. The library does not take responsibility for damage, loss or theft of personal property. If a study room is discovered unoccupied for an extended period of time all belongings with be moved to the library’s lost and found and the room will be made available to other users. If a study room is discovered unoccupied upon the library’s closing all items will be removed and given to campus security.
- Violations of group study room policies may result in future suspension of group study room privileges.
