Multipurpose Room Policy

Location

  • Library and Learning Commons
  • 2nd Floor, S217 (South Building)

Scheduling

  • The Multipurpose Room may be reserved by faculty and staff only.
  • Room scheduling is available on a first come, first served, basis. Individuals interested in booking the Multipurpose Room should contact the library.
  • Bookings may be restricted during the academic year to accommodate library related uses.
  • Student groups interested in reserving the Multipurpose Room must have a faculty advisor who is responsible for booking the room. The faculty advisor must remain with the group during the duration of their scheduled time.
  • The Multipurpose Room will be held for ONLY 30 minutes after the reserved time; after which it will be considered open and available.

Set Up

  • The library does not assume responsibility for setting up the Multipurpose Room.
  • If a special setup is required, the booking party is responsible for contacting the maintenance department to make appropriate arrangements (including the break down of the room and returning furniture to its original location upon vacating).

Food and Beverages

  • Light refreshments and drinks in closed containers are allowed in the Multipurpose Room.
  • No food or drinks should be left in the room upon exiting.

Amenities

  • tables and chairs to seat up to 48
  • LCD projector and projection screen
  • white board (markers and erasers available by request)
  • audio/visual equipment (contact Ed Tech for assistance)

Disclaimer

Personal items should not be left unattended in the Multipurpose Room. The Library does not take responsibility for damage, loss or theft of personal property. Any items found in the Multipurpose Room will be placed in the Library’s lost and found temporarily, then brought to campus security.
