In order to maintain an atmosphere in the library that is conducive to quiet study and other academic pursuits, patrons need to refrain from behavior which disrupts and impinges on the rights and needs of others. Patrons and librarians are expected to use respectful language and gestures in any communication or interaction whether it is in person, on the telephone, via email, or online chats. Use of disrespectful language or actions may result in being reported to Dean of Students.
