The Housatonic Library provides resources and services in support of the academic programs at the College. The Library works to enhance the academic environment and support and empower each student in their learning process. The Library also serves the personal and non-curricular intellectual needs of the faculty, staff, students and community.  

To fulfill its mission, the library works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and the community to:  

• Empower our academic community with equitable, diverse, accessible, and inclusive information resources and materials in a variety of formats and technologies. 
• Deliver transformative professional services to support teaching and learning through orientation and information literacy programs, reference services, and interlibrary loan service. 
• Operate a supportive learning environment that provides appropriate facilities and maintenance of an atmosphere conducive to learning.  
• Provide guidance, support, and make referrals as necessary to assist college community members in resolving and finding solutions to issues.  
• Expand horizons and educational and cultural experiences through enriching events and programs.
