The live real-time orientations are provided via WebEx technology for students taking asynchronous (ONLN or OLCR) or synchronous (LRON) online courses. No seat reservation is needed. The access link will be active 5 minutes before a session starts. The Orientation for New Online Students will help you get familiar with Blackboard interface, learn basic features, and obtain online learning success tips. WebEx, Blackboard Collaborate or MS Teams are for students registered LRON (Live/Remote Online Courses) courses to get familiar with the web conferencing technology to participate in the live remote lectures. First-time fully online students or students registered LRON courses at Middlesex are highly recommended to attend an orientation. Before attending an orientation, make sure that you have used your NetID and the password to log on to your Blackboard course via my.ctstate.edu. If you do not know your NetID, click here to find out. The WebEx access link will be active 5 minutes before a session starts. (You may need to refresh the page or clear out the browser history to see the access link.) Please log on 5 minutes before a session by clicking on the access link. Enter your full name and college email address. Then click on Join Meeting. Students who are not able to attend a real-time live session may go through the Virtual Orientation for Online Students.  Students registered LRON courses also need to visit LRON preparation page prior to attending your class online.
