Telling our community's stories since 1961

Introducing the Norwalk Campus Archives

The Norwalk Campus Archives collect primary source materials documenting the history of CT State Norwalk and its preceding institutions, Norwalk Community College and Norwalk State Technical College. By preserving and providing access to these records, the archives play a crucial role in safeguarding our institutional history, supporting research and education, and promoting transparency and accountability. By collecting and sharing the stories of our campus's past and present, the Norwalk Campus Archives foster a deeper connection among students, staff, and faculty, encouraging engagement and inclusion in the ongoing story of CT State Norwalk and preserving our cultural heritage for future generations.

Housed in East Campus Room 251 on the second floor of Baker Library, the collection includes but is not limited to:

  • Course catalogs
  • Student publications
  • Yearbooks
  • Committee reports and meeting minutes
  • Faculty newsletters and handbooks
  • Records of campus events and clubs
  • Newspaper clippings
  • Photographs and ephemera

Services provided by the archives and detailed in this guide include:

  • proactive collection of new materials
