Quinebaug Valley Campus Library

Quinebaug Valley About the QV Campus Library

The Library Classroom

The library classroom serves two primary functions:

(1) as a quiet study space for students taking QV classes

(2) as a teaching classroom for librarians to provide information literacy instruction sessions to students enrolled in ongoing courses.  To provide ample opportunities for these important learning activities, the library classroom cannot be reserved as a location for regularly scheduled meetings of any course, club, or organization.

Faculty may request library classroom reservations by contacting library staff, filling out the form below, via email QV-Library@ctstate.edu, or by phone at 860.932.4007.

Provide course and section information, name of faculty member, date requested, and start- and end-times requested. While every effort will be made to accommodate reservation requests, a minimum of 24 hours notice is preferable to be sure each request is seen, confirmed, and added to the calendar (shown below).

Library Classroom Reservations

Our faculty members are able to use the library classrooms for their classes, both inside and outside of library instruction sessions.  The library classroom has 30 student computers as well as a projector for class instruction.  Check and see if the library classroom is available at your preferred time.  If you are requesting library instruction in the library classroom using the form below you do not need to fill out an additional library classroom request.

Library Instruction Request

If you would like to request any type of library instruction or you would like to consult with one of our librarians, you can fill out the Library Instruction Request form below.  You can also contact our librarians by email, QV-Library@ctstate.edu.

Students use of the Classroom

When the library classroom is not reserved for instruction, it is open to students who prefer a quiet study space.

Be sure to check the library's open hours.
