The CT State - QV Library has multiple types of technology that is available for our students to take advantage of.  These pieces of technology are available for either 2 hour long checkouts or for semester long checkouts.

If the technology is available for a 2 hour long checkout then simply walk up to the main library desk and ask for the item.  Our staff members will be happy to help.

If the technology will be a semester long checkout there are a few things you need to do before you visit the library to check it out.

1. Ensure that you are registered for classes in whichever semester you are requesting the piece of technology for
2. Fill out our Technology Request Form
3. Give the library several days to receive the form and start processing your request (during peak times such as the beginning of the Fall semester please allow some extra time)
4. Keep an eye on your CT State student email (student.name@ctstate.edu)
   • The library will ask any questions, provide you with next steps, or let you know you can pick up your technology via this email

Success in a college program requires using a laptop or desktop! A smartphone, tablet, or Chromebook is not enough.

If you cannot complete your coursework because you have no laptop or because your laptop is too old to handle the necessary software, the QV Library has a FREE  laptop lending program, while supplies last. 

Once you are registered for class(es), complete the online QV Technology Request Form to get your name on the waiting list.  Completing the form takes just 3-5 minutes.
