According to the Teach Act of November 3, 2002, instructors may show a film in their class, in the classroom, as long as they are present in the room where the film is being shown. However, you may not invite other students to view the film or publicize it on campus without receiving permission from the copyright holder to show the film, unless the film is in the public domain or the library has purchased public performance rights. Contact the library for assistance with film rights.
