Middlesex Alumni Stories

Middlesex alumni are thoughtful and productive members of the community. Here are some of the unique stories of these diverse and talented former students.

CONNECTICUT LAWYER

Julé Crawford, MxCC 1979 Jule Crawford

Now retired, Julé Crawford was a practicing family lawyer in Middletown for over 35 years. She served on the board of directors of the MxCC Foundation from 2011–2019, including as chair, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 2016.

During her graduation ceremony from Middlesex Community College in 1979, Julé received the prestigious Pritchett-Taylor Award (highest GPA). She became an Etherington Scholar at Wesleyan University, where she graduated with honors (English/political science) in 1981. She earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, graduating with honors.

“Middlesex gave me the flexibility (I was raising 3 children when I attended), encouragement, and, most important of all, the enthusiastic support I needed to relaunch my education after having been away from school for seven years. Thank you, Middlesex,” said Julé.
