Lisa Davenport, MxCC 1988
Lisa Davenport, of Durham, earned an associate degree in commercial design from Middlesex in 1988. She continued her study in interior design at Paier College of Art.
After working as a designer for many years, she established Lisa Davenport Designs. In 2020, she rebranded as LDD Interiors, designing fine interiors and exteriors all over New England, North Carolina, and Florida.
Lisa also serves as as a commissioner and vice chair for Durham’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
In 2019, she published a book, “Life with MIL: A Candid Journey of Alzheimer’s with My Mother-in-Law” to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
“Middlesex offered an excellent option for my education when I didn’t have a solid direction to go. The community college Art Department provided me with a strong, solid basic foundation in both drawing and design,” said Lisa.
