Middlesex alumni are thoughtful and productive members of the community. Here are some of the unique stories of these diverse and talented former students.

INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER

Tanya Henderson, who attended Middlesex Community College 1989–91, is an international human rights lawyer. She is the founder and executive director of Mina’s List, a non-profit organization to realize women’s equal and substantive political representation in national governments around the world.

Previously, Tanya was the public policy director for Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND) in Cambridge, Mass..

In 1994, she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts in Boston and received a juris doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 200.

At Middlesex, Tanya served as president of the Student Senate and was instrumental in the creation of the Human Rights Park which stands at the entrance to Snow Hall.
